Title: Maggie Q Gets Naked For PETA, Asks People To 'Go Veg'

"Nikita" star Maggie Q has stripped for a cause close to her heart. The actress reveals all in a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaign poster aimed at convincing people to eliminate meat products from their diet.

The edgy new PETA billboard reads, "Fight Climate Change With Diet Change. Go Veg" and features the vegan actress naked with her body painted like planet earth.

The poster debuted above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on Thursday and will remain there for one month.

Maggie Q told WENN, "There's so many issues tied to the meat industry. I mean, social, environmental, humanitarian - all of them. I know that when I'm eating that I'm not hurting the planet, I'm not hurting other people on this planet, I'm not hurting animals... and I'm not hurting nature."

Giving A Wii U This Christmas? Nintendo Wants You To Update It First
One of the best things about getting new hardware for Christmas is the rush of unboxing it. Soaking up the smells, opening up the bags, being the first to put fingerprints on the thing. It really makes you feel like you’re about to use something new.

It’s a pity then that Nintendo is having to advise people to skip this if there’s a Wii U under the tree.

Because the console’s initial update is such an important and time-consuming one, Nintendo of America is recommending that the person giving a Wii U should first take it out of the box, plug it in, use it and update it themselves before handing it over.

'Once Upon a Time' Spoilers: Mystery Men and a Giant

Once Upon a Time has long been known for having, keeping and then finally revealing secrets. Just this week the true identity of Dr. Whale was exposed through his crazy attempt to bring Regina's true love back to life.

Even though Dr. Whale's Fairy Tale Land identity was exposed as Dr. Victor Frankenstein, there are plenty of mysteries that remain.

Mysterious Man

We were introduced to a Mystery Man in the season premiere living in New York City, who received a postcard via a bird that said "Broken." Speculation has been rampant about the identity of this man. Could he be Rumple's son? Maybe Henry's father? Could Baelfire be Henry's father?

On this week's episode, "Tallahassee" we meet him again. Only this time, it is in a flashback of Emma's time before she was arrived in Storybrooke with Henry. According to the ABC episode description, he is "a fellow thief who wants to make an honest woman out of her." What do you think that means? Could he be Henry's father? We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part One Blu-ray Review

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part One, DC Animated's adaptation of the classic Frank Miller graphic novel that redefined the Caped Crusader in 1986, is note-perfect.

And that is its biggest problem.

The story is almost word-for-word, scene-for-scene, pulled directly from the pages of the original comic book, and it's an enjoyable movie to be sure, but it begs one very big question: What's the point?

In the film, the Batman has been retired for the past 10 years, and in his absence, crime has run amok in Gotham City. A new breed of criminals, a gang calling themselves the Mutants, is running roughshod throughout the city, murdering innocents with no motive other than simply to spread fear and chaos.

Ultimately, the deterioration of his city becomes too much for Bruce Wayne (RoboCop's Peter Weller) to bear, and he succumbs to his dark side, once again donning the cape and cowl as Batman.

DC #0s – Nightwing and Red Hood Review – The DC 52 Reboot of Robins

nightwing robin
It’s a good time for finding out more about Robins in these DC #0 comics it seems. Last week we had some stories in both Batman and Batman and Robin, giving us an overview of where all the Robins were around the same time six years ago. Dick was in the circus, Tim was being uber clever and sort of cocky at school, Jason was street criminalling it up and Damian was with his mother training to be a little badass. In Red Hood and the Outlaws we focus in closer on Jason Todd and of course in Nightwing we look at Dick Grayson.

So why am I reviewing these issues together? Well the main reason is, in this new DC52 world getting my head around Batman’s career in the past six / seven years (that’s how long DC have told us he’s been in the cape and cowl by the way)  is beginning to feel a bit rushed. So about six years ago Batman took on Dick Grayson. Of course, Dick has the same origin as ever for the most part. Parents killed in the circus, Bruce taking him in, Dick putting on the red and green costume and becoming Robin. It’s all pretty standard stuff but it’s still a story that is infinitaly compelling to read. Bruce and Dick feel so important and no matter how many times I’ve read this story in its multiple versions, the core of these two finding a connection and becoming the dynamic duo is pure Bat-genius.

Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. Mike Nicols' Wolf. Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein. Suddenly, horror of the old genre (as opposed to the '80s slasher flicks) is back with a vengeance. The latest, and arguably the most ambitious, to enter this potentially-lucrative market is a cinematic version of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire.

As was true with Cronos earlier this year, Interview with the Vampire makes some modifications to common vampire mythology (as made popular in Dracula and perpetuated in countless horror books and films). The fangs are still present, as are the insatiable bloodlust and fear of daylight, but no longer will religious trappings hold the undead at bay, and a stake through the heart has lost its effectiveness.
